Misc. Deductions Subject to the Two Percent Floor was eliminated for the years 2018 through 2025, including unreimbursed job expenses for W2 work, by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
No. For a W-2 employee to claim a home office, he must not only meet the Regularly and Exclusively test, he must meet the convenience of the employer test. This almost always means he does not have a place to work at the employer's facility

Hi. I am a University lecturer/professor who receives a W2, but I work for my University exclusively online now. I have no office on campus. Can I use the home office deduction?
