Form 8880 (Saver's Credit) showing contributions I didn't make

Under "Deductions  & Credits" and then under "Retirement Savings Contributions Credit", I'm answering NO to this question:  "Did you contribute to a qualified retirement plan in 2020?"

But...Form 8880 is being generated by Turbotax, and is showing that I contributed $2000 to a retirement plan in 2020.  I didn't, and I'm not sure how to correct this.

Thanks for any help

Look on your W2 Box 12 to see if you contributed through work to a 401k or other retirement savings account.

Thank you, but box 12 is empty, so that is not the issue.  :(

You’d also be eligible for the credit if you made traditional or Roth IRA contributions.  Did you enter any such contributions in TurboTax?

If not, then, with TurboTax Online open,

  1. Click the Pick up where you left off button, if it’s present
  2. Let the whole page load
  3. Click the Search box at the top of the screen
  4. Type saver’s credit in the search box
  5. Click Jump to saver’s credit

Go through the interview process and see if you can find any entries that might generate the credit.
