Form 1116 - how to cause entry of previously entered data??

I have received an email saying the form is available, and I have updated Turbotax Premier, but the Form 1116 doesn't seem to have filled properly from the data I entered (1099-DIV etc).

How do I make this happen??

What ultimately worked was to go to the Form 1116 through the Forms route, and manually enter the foreign source income and foreign tax paid from the 1099-Divs for those that had foreign income - fortunately only 2 of them!!  You also need to know to enter "various" for country and RIC if this is for mutual funds.

You can ensure you have followed these steps to enter your form correctly:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account and open (continue) your return
  2. Select Federal from the top menu, then Wages & Income
  3. Choose I'll choose what I work on
  4. Locate the section titled Interest & Dividends then select Start or Revisit next to Dividends on 1099-DIV
  5. Select Yes on the screen Did you receive any dividend income
  6. Choose how you'd like to enter your 1099-DIV:
    • If you want to import your form, select your bank or brokerage from the list, enter your sign-in info for your online account, and select Get my form
    • If you'd rather manually enter your form, select Change how I enter my form. Select 1099-DIV, then Type it in myself on the following screen
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the info from your 1099-DIV
  8. When you reach the screen Here's your 1099-DIV info, the form you just entered should be listed

Note: Don't combine the amounts from two or more 1099-DIV forms if they're from the same payer—enter each form separately.

If you have any carryovers from prior years the Schedule B Form 1116 is not yet finalized.  You can track it's availability here:
