For a self-employed physician, where should I list small surgical tools (costing between $5-$100 each)? "Supplies," "other miscellaneous expenses," or somewhere else?

List them as Tools, since they are surgical Tools.

Sorry, I don't understand what category in Turbo Tax that falls under? I don't want to list them as assets since I bought at least 50 surgical tools for my office, and they cost very little. So would I list them under "Supplies," "Other Miscellaneous Expenses" or another TurboTax category? Thank you.

Other Miscellaneous Expenses would be a good choice.  That way you can describe the items and know that is what the amount represents.  If you just put it under Supplies, there is no additional description available.
