Filing a Federal Business amended document by E-File or where to mail it

I filed federal business returns. Found a mistake and have created a amended form

I filed originals e-file so I am not sure where to send the 1065X

If you e-filed your amended return and it was transmitted via e-file and accepted you do not have to mail a copy of your amended return to the IRS.

If you are unable to e-file your amended return (i.e. prior return) you will mail it to the IRS.  Click here for the filing addresses to use.

Your Filing Instructions should have printed with your printed copies of your tax return telling you how to mail in your return.

That was the question

Can and how do you e-file the amended form

Click on that link for the addresses of where to file your amended return.  The address you mail it to depends on the state that you are in and whether you are mailing a payment or not.  You want to put it in an envelope and send it to that address.  If you're including a payment make certain that the primary social security number from the return is in the memo field of the check along with the year of the return and '1040X'.
