Down Payment on home. Where would I put that on my taxes?

I put a down payment on my house, how would I claim that?

You don't include a down payment on a house anywhere on your tax return.

Mortgage interest paid, real estate (property) taxes, mortgage insurance premiums (not homeowners insurance)and any points or loan origination fees can play a part in the tax return though.  You will be asked about those when you go through itemized deductions.
