Does the Energy-Efficient Vehicle Charging Station credit work for me putting in a $800 220v charger in my garage? If so, why isn't the form on Turbo Tax working yet?

Original Response:  Sorry, that credit expired at the end of 2016, so it is not valid on your 2017 tax return.

Is the charging station credit available for 2018 filings?  Turbo Tax has a spot to add the costs, but when I do so, the charger and installation costs do not appear?

As of now, that credit expired in 2017.  It is possible that Congress will pass a law to retroactively renew it, but that is looking less and less likely.

So right now we can enter the information into TurboTax2018 but nothing will be credited??
