Does a wage attachment totaling the amount of $9023.30, for hospital bills something I can claim?

Only what they take actually take out of your paycheck for the year to cover the bills which is unlikely to be the full $9K+.  The wage assignment may go on for several years until the bills are paid in full. You deduct the amount taken out each year as a medical expense for that year. To get any tax benefit, you would need to itemize and your itemized deductions would have to exceed your standard deduction.
