Does a new boiler qualify for energy tax credit

It will be a gas fired hot water boiler to heat our home. High efficiency ~ 92%

The Non-Business Energy Property Credit for items such as high-efficiency water heaters expired on 12/31/2016.  Unless Congress extends or make permanent the credit it will not be available on a 2017 tax return.
