Do you need to file forms(ie. 1098 form for mortgage interest) that you received for scheduled deductions if you are using the standard deduction?

You do not need to file personal itemized deductions if you prefer to take the standard deduction.  Since the 1098 lists things that would be itemized deductions, you do not have to enter it.
