Delet edependents from on-line turbo tax

Follow these steps to edit your dependents:

1. Sign into your TurboTax account
2. Click on My Info in the left black navigation pane.
3. Scroll down to where you see your dependent's name
4. Click Edit or to remove the child completely, click the trashcan icon.

I am doing this return via software, not thru the turbo tax website.  I can't finish the return until I can get the depends off; even tho it says I have not errors.  Their names do not appear in the dependents lines on the first page of the 1040.  They are only on the "update" needed and I can't delete from there

If you need to Delete /Edit dependent and you are using TurboTax Software:

1. Open your return.
2. Go to Personal Info Tab.
3. Click on You and Your Family.
4. Scroll down to Dependents and click Edit.
5. Choose from the list of dependents the one you need to Edit /Delete 

The dependents are on the "update" page asking me to update.  Their names are not "listed" anywhere that I can select them.  This is keeping me from filing the return!!

Go ahead and update, and then follow MayaD's guidance.

I don't want to update I want to delete them!!!!!!!

To delete a dependent, please follow these steps:

• Down the left side of the screen, click My Info.
• Scroll down the screen and find the dependent’s name.
• Click the trashcan icon to the right of the dependent’s name to delete.
