Deductions from HSA distributions

I have total distributions (as reported on 1099-SA) in the amount of $2457.70 (which is more than past year ($1920.00) yet I am getting $0 in deductions.  Why is that?

Your 1099-SA does not give you a deduction.  This money was deposited pre-tax into an HSA account for you to use for Medical Expenses.

You get the deduction when you enter your W-2 showing your HSA contribution.

When you take a Distribution for Medical Expenses, you are not taxed on the amount you took out of the account.
