Check this Entry is requiring me to enter a date on a 1099-B entry but it will not accept the date I'm entering. When lookin at the property line in question, its there

Check to be sure there are no blank spaces in the field before or after the date.

 

You might try to delete the entry and re-enter it as long as you enter the correct date the second time.

 

The date for acquistion is very important because it will determine the holding period and the holding period can categorize the gain or loss into short term or long term and they do have different tax rates.
