Check your input of 1099-B

Column (c)—Date Sold or Disposed Of

Enter in this column the date you sold or disposed of the property. Use the trade date for stocks and bonds traded on an exchange or over-the-counter market. For a short sale, enter the date you delivered the property to the broker or lender to close the short sale.

If you received a Form 1099-B (or substitute statement), box 1c may help you determine when you sold or disposed of the property.

From the pdf that I received on 1099-B, there are multiple dates(total of 4 pages), not sure how I can resolved this issue.

Have various sold dates.  Form 1099-B asking for Property number XXX Sold Date.  Where do you find XXX number?

If there's nothing for the cost basis, it's because your broker either doesn't know it or isn't required to provide the information.  You'll need to look through your records.  For the proceeds, you would need to either look through your records or ask the broker.

Here is a TurboTax article about 1099-B, Proceeds from Broker transactions.

When I do the review in TurboTax, it gives me a series of "Check This Entry" related to Form 1099-B Worksheet. But I didn't have a 1099-B, so I can't figure out what to enter for these:

1. Description for Property Number 1

2. Sales Price

3. Cost or Adjusted Basis

4. Date sold for Property Number 1

5. Date aquired for Property Number 1

6. Holding period

Could this be related to refinancing our home? It doesn't seem like it from the reading I've done so far.

What might this be referring to?

Thank you for any help!!
