CD Home/Business 2020 I entered Bus now doing Personal. Under Property Taxes it will not let me enter $. Additional home or Land & Foreign real estate will allow $$. Why?

I do not member entering home property taxes already & said did not qualify for home office deduction for Business. Now that I am into Personal Deductions & Credits I was going to enter Property Taxes paid & opening this section took a long time (unusual) then would not allow entry for property tax on main home! But did allow for Foreign & Additional home/Land. I tried doing this area twice & each time I try it it takes a long time (hour glass) but never lets me enter first line for main home property taxes. Why

You should be able to enter real estate taxes paid on your principal residence on your Schedule A.

As always, you will need to enter the taxes to the nearest dollar...$.49 and below is dropped and $.50 and above is rounded to the next whole dollar. Of course, you would not enter the $ (sign).

The tax section of the Schedule A is limited to $10,000 deduction this year.  If you are trying to enter more than that amount, that might contribute toward your problem.

I'm using the CD version of Home/Business 2021.  When I click on "Update" to enter property taxes as a itemized deduction, the program returns a blank screen.   It's a bug of the software.  Please help.
