When I try to import from ItsDeductible, it asks if I have an account and I click the Yes button.
From there it asks me to enter my Keychain password to authenticate. Even though I enter it correctly it never works. The only other option is to Deny. If I click that then it always gives me an error window with the following. At this point there is no way past this screen to enter my credentials and import the data - thus blocking my entire return.
"There was a connection problem. Please check your Internet connection. This problem could be caused by intermittent or limited Internet service. Make sure your wireless connection is working or your network cable is plugged in.
If you are unable to reach the site, you can call
1-800-4-INTUIT (select the option for TurboTax when prompted)."
There are some troubleshooting steps you can take, to successfully import ItsDeductible, into your Turbotax Software on your Mac. Please see the following Turbotax FAQ for more information https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/6446422

Thank you. I deleted the keychain entry for Itsdeductible. Had to restart the computer but afterwards the credential screen came up in Turbotax and I was able to import successfully. Thank you for the help.
Yes, this worked for me. I had to do it a couple of times for some reason.
I don't see an ItsDeductible entry in my keytab yet I still see this issue. No internet connection issues either.
Deleting the keychain entry and restarting worked for me as well.
Just wasn’t searching for right key. Works now. No reboot required.
I have tried so many ways... which user pw? is it the one I use for ItsDeductible or ___? "...the current password for your user account"
OMG - THANK YOU! for telling us how to fix this STUPID, STUPID Mac error... screen shots & step by step, THANK YOU.
This solution is for Mac users.
I just had the same problem, but fortunately was able to solve the problem. You need to add the current TurboTax program to the Access Control Box.
Open Keychain Access?
Under Keychain in the upper left column, click "login"
Under Category in the lower left column, click "passwords"
In the main body on the right side locate "Intuit ID"and double click
When the box pops up click "Access Control" (you may need to enter your login password)
Click the + located in the lower left corner
Type in the current TurboTax, i.e. TurboTax 2018
Click "Save"
You should then be able to type in the login password to allow access to the program.
???????
I don't know how those question marks ended up in my Answer above. There shouldn't be a ? after "Open Keychain Access" nor at the end of the response.
OMG - THANK YOU! for telling us how to fix this STUPID, STUPID Mac error...
What if no ability to add programs under Access Control? Says access for this item can not be edited. Thanks.
I keep getting the message about the internet connection also and there is nothing wrong with the connection.
I think this started when I said "no" to having an itsdeductible account. It won't let me change the know to "yes".
Need help!
@lermane65 I was able to delete the Intuit entry in the keychain and it worked.
THANK YOU!!! Nothing else worked for me but this did. It's totally stupid that Intuit won't properly fix this. I was just about to file my taxes by paper to include the ItsDeductible info but then I saw this and tried it. Yay!! Filed electronically today!
I found the Intuit id password entries .. but they will not delete. I have selected delete at least 3 times and they remain.

Please log completely out of TurboTax and try clearing your browser's cache. A full or corrupted cache can keep TurboTax from functioning properly. Please see the below TurboTax FAQ for instructions:

Thanks for these step-by-step directions! This made the program work. The version of TurboTax that was in there was the name of LAST YEAR's app!!! I had to add name of this year's app!!! I now remember that I had to do the same thing last year (with guidance online). i.e., I added the name of last year's app LAST YEAR!!!
Dear Intuit: Please fix this dåmñ recurring problem! I wasted two hours last year AND this year dealing with this issue. It's obvious that the software isn't writing the correct name of the current version of TurboTax into the "Access Control" box when installing the software. Shame on you!!!!
