Can we use a "in care of" address on the tax return?

We live overseas for 10 or 11 months but want the correspondence from the IRS to go to our neighbor in the USA. Is that possible? We are afraid any mail to the place where we live overseas might get lost. Please advise. We also don't want it to be misunderstood that we live at our neighbor's address, but rather that we are using it as "in care of". Please advise. Thank you.

The only way to do that is to just type in "in care of John at 123 John's address"  in the address section of the personal info section.

Thank you for this advice!  I am filing a return for a deceased tax payer and needed this.

If you are using a DIY tax program then in the MY INFO section you will indicate this return is for a decedent and simply enter your address when asked for a mailing address.  You will also need to enter your personal information as the filer of the return.  The program will automatically enter your information as the "in care of" on the form 1040 and on the 1310.
