Can somebody help me with an HSA limit issue?

Single return and TT is telling me HSA excess contribution message that it is over funded - for the same amount contributed in 2022.  Which is under the 2022 limit. Also, didn't overfund last year (2021), contributed much less. How do I find the issue and fix it?

Did you double-enter your HSA contributions? Sometimes people with an HSA at work will enter the same amount in the HSA section, even though TurboTax will transfer info from your W-2, Box 12, Code W.

Here's how to get to the HSA section:

  1. Type HSA in search (magnifying glass) in the top right corner
  2. Tap Jump to HSA
  3. Keep going until you see the screen "Did you put money into an HSA in 2022?"
  4. Say YES
  5. On "Let's enter your HSA contributions" 2022 employer and payroll contributions should have the amount from your W-2 and Any contributions you personally made should be $0, unless you made a direct payment to your HSA.
