Can not file for free because "You have a financial account in a foreign country." I do not! I keep clicking no

I already posted this yesterday but it seems like it did not go through. I cannot file my taxes for free because it keeps telling me "You have a financial account in a foreign country." I do NOT have one, and i keep clicking NO when i go to other tax situations and the foreign acct part comes up. What does it think is foreign????

Clear your tax return and start over.  Make sure that you do not enter anything that would require a foreign account.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2024 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

Seriously? It took me almost 2 hours and I have to re do it all because of an error on the websites part? Certainly won’t be done again on TurboTax, that’s for sure. Thanks for the reply

I am assuming that you have already gone through the Wages & Income section of the program and selected NO on the screen where asked Did either of you own or control a foreign bank account, trust or financial asset in 2024?  And you are still getting the message even after answering No?

How can I get to this again? When I click wages and income, it just shows the recap of what I already did. Not sure how to get to the actual question

Scroll down to the very bottom of the Wages & Income screen and click on Continue.  The screen asking about a foreign account will be presented after three or four other screens.

What happened for me was TurboTax incorrectly imported my 1099-INT to have the "FATCA filing" checkbox checked. What's stupid is even when I fixed the mistake the software still thought I had to upgrade to file so I had to completely start over.
