Can my car repairs and purchase of stethoscope, shoes etc be deducted?

I am a home health therapist and use my care to get to patient to patient.  Also my miles are reimbursed via work, so how can I bypass that section in Premier version of Turbo tax?

If you are paid as an employee, then this is not tax deductible under the new tax laws as job-related expenses are no longer deductible.

To get rid of the miles you can click on Forms in the upper righthand corner then look for your vehicle worksheet and click delete.  You can also look for form 2106 if you are seeing that there.

Are you a W2 employee or a 1099MISC  independent?

Depends on your state.  While these unreimbursed business expenses are no longer deductible on federal, they may be deductible on your state income tax return.
