Can I use TurboTax online to claim the Energy Efficient New Home tax credit (for builders of energy efficient new homes), Form 8908? This gets reported on Form 3800.

The home was ZERH certified and leased in 2024.

TurboTax does not support Form 8908, Energy Efficient Home Credit.

You would need to complete that form manually and then enter the result in Form 3800, Part III Line 1p

The Form 3800 for tax year 2024 is estimated to be available for filing on 02/06/2025

 

Go to this IRS website for Form 8908 - https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8908

 

You will have to print and mail the 2024 tax return to include the Form 8908.
