Can I start over importing 2018 data but preserve my deductions?

I have begun doing my taxes in 2019 TT. I entered numerous deductions in a return I started from scratch. I did this so I would not have to manually delete a lot of deductions from 2018 when I brought in the 2018 TT return data. But now I have changed my mind, I would prefer to start over from my 2018 return data, yet nt have to retype all the deductions. Is there an easy way to do this? I don't see any way to for example  export my 2019 deductions....then I could start over, bring in my 2018 return data, delete all the 2018 deductions, and then import the 2019 deductions I previously exported. Is there some way I can accomplish this? Thanks!

The transfer of data from your 2018 return can only be done when you are just beginning the 2019 return.  Once you start entering 2019 information you cannot go back and transfer-it is too late unless you start over from the beginning.  Sorry.
