We purchased 2 electric vehicles in 2016. According to the Colorado Department of Revenue you can claim multiple vehicles, but the turbotax state section only allows me to select the Innovative Motor Vehicle Credit once and enter information for one vehicle.
No, TurboTax does not support the entry of more than one vehicle for the Colorado Innovative Motor Vehicle Credit. If you have
more than one vehicle qualifying for this credit, a separate Form DR
0617 for each vehicle is required to be completed and attached to your Colorado income
tax return.
You will need to mail in your Colorado state return and the income tax return claiming the credit must include the following attachments:
The innovative motor vehicle credit is a refundable credit. The allowable credit is first applied against the income tax liability of the person who purchases, leases, or converts the qualifying motor vehicle. If the credit exceeds the tax due, the excess credit will be refunded.

I am also in the exact same situation. Not thrilled TurboTax does not support this.
Bad year to force me to paper file while expecting a refund Intuit.
I called Colorado Dept of Revenue today and was told I can use their online system to file my return and use the eFiler to upload the additional DR 0617. But I'm not sure how that works or if it will significantly delay processing of my refund. Submitting via paper and snail mail will take ~12 weeks to process. Not having this ability in TurboTax directly kinda defeats its usefulness.
FYI and IMHO: Soon everyone will be buying EVs for the whole family
When will this limitation be fixed Intuit/Turbotax folks? This is sad and sloppy programming, so please let us know when you implement this fully for Colorado.
Last year I ended using my fed tax return from TurboTax and imported to efile on Colorados site for free and it was easy. TT refunded my state filing fee. Surprised this is still an issue with TT, thinking just using efile on fed site this year as TT wants too much for what can be had for free now. When it was $29 it was fair. Now they’re just greedy
@emtnbiker - do you have more detailed steps on how you do this? file like normal, except do not actually have turbo tax file w colorado? and you can download the colorado return as a file? For extra $2500, want to get the steps right.
Thanks!

thanks all - found a competitors product that supports this - it's too bad, otherwise I like turbo tax.
What competitor? Filing the state tax forms on my own defeats the purpose of online filing, what a pain.
