Can I include the cost of a refrigerator to house cost basis?

We replaced an existing refrigerator for our kitchen cabinet with a better one. It is a 30 cu. ft. LG SuperCapacity French Door Stainless Steel Refrigerator - it is not labeled as a 'built in' refrigerator but it fit perfectly into our cabinets designed for a 'built in refrigerator'.  The refrigerator stayed with the house given we had kitchen cabinets for a built in refrigerator.  Unsure if we can add the refrigerator to the house cost basis when we sold the house?

It depends whether you sold a personal residence or rental property.

Include the cost as part of the cost basis in the sale of a personal residence.

If you sold the home as a rental property, you would not include the cost if you deducted the purchase as an expense. If you listed it as an asset, the sale of each asset on your deprecation schedule would be reported as a separate transaction.
