I know in 2019, I had to print and mail it in. I am wondering if I have to do the same this year.
Unfortunately, Form M1PR is filed separately from your Minnesota State Tax Return and it can't be efiled. You may file Form M1PR and claim a refund for up to one year after the original due date. If you file later, you won’t receive a refund. If you'd like to prepare/print Form M1PR:
You can check on the status of your Property Tax Refund after July 1 by using Minnesota's Where’s My Refund system.
Hello! Is this still true? TurboTax will tell me to print this form? I've entered the information I have under the state property tax statement page , but I'm still waiting for my official property tax statement to fill out the rest. How do I work around this to submit my tax return? My instinct is telling me to delete what I've entered so far for my property and file without it, in hopes I can go back in at a later date. Is this right?
Thanks!!
The M1PR will have to be mailed in and not e-filed.
You can return to the M1PR even if you have already filed your state return. If you'd like to Print Form M1PR:
