Can i deduct the cost of temporary housing?

I am working on a 9-month project away from home (the contract requires I be onsite at the client's location). As such I have rented an apartment and rented furniture. Can I deduct my rental costs (Oct-Dec 2016) as a non-reimbursed business/work expense?

Yes, as long as you can back it up with receipts.
