Can I deduct medical mileage to a DBT Group run by a counselor, if she says it is not covered under Medicare or Insurance?

I attend a DBT Group in another state that the therapist bills Medicare and it is covered by Medicare.  I want to put mileage under medical expense but don't know if I can in this case.

Medical miles for 2018 is 18 cents per mile.

As long as Medicare, or your supplemental insurance does not cover this expense then you can deduct it on medical expenses on your tax return.
