Can i deduct a donated medical device if my insurance paid for some of the cost

Yes, you can deduct the lower of your out of pocket cost or market value of the device.

To enter your contributions:

  • Type in charitable contributions. in the search box, top right of your screen, then click the magnifying glass

  • Click the jump to charitable contributions link in the search results.

  • Follow the onscreen instructions to enter
