Can I adjust the amount turbotax thinks I qualify for for child tax credit? It is incorrect.

Turbotax thinks that I qualify for the child tax credit, but says I received more in advance payments than I qualify for. It says I have to pay some back. Our main home was not in the USA for more than 6 months, but by my calculations we should therefore get $3187 (our tax liability)   $1400 per child ($1400*6=$8400) which means we should get $11587. We received advance payments of $9300, so we should still get $2287 as a credit on taxes. Turbotax says instead of getting a credit we will have to pay some back, although it doesn't show any specifics. How can I fix this? Thanks!

the CTC is calculated on form 8812

for most taxpayers the CTC is the smaller of 1) $3,000 ($3,600 for children under 6) multiplied by the number of qualifying children less the applicable phase-out amount or 2) regular tax and AMT tax reduced by certain credits but this limitation doesn't apply for taxpayers who had a principal US home for more than 1/2 of 2021.

you say you didn't live in the US for 6 months therefore you should have to repay 9300 less 3187

are you sure it's the CTC AND NOT THE RECOVERY REBATE OR SOME OTHER CREDIT
