Can car property taxes be deducted in Missouri if I have proof of payment and the amount? Is any tax document required?

The personal property taxes paid on the vehicle are deductible as a Sch A itemized deduction.

You do not need to send in proof with the tax return, however you need to keep this information with your tax file.

To enter your Personal Property Taxes,

go to Federal Taxes

then click on Deductions and Credits

Scroll down to Cars and Other Things You Own, a

nd edit/start on Personal Property Taxes in that section.
