Can anyone tell me why the 2024 version of Turbo Tax is asking for the $5,050 earned income limit for qualifying child when the child entered is a son or daughter?

Isn't the $5,050 gross income rule only applies to other qualifying relatives? Is this a programming error on Turbo Tax version 2024?

Is your child a full-time student?   Make sure you indicated in MY INFO that they are a student.  We have seen some users missing that.  There is a screen in MY INFO titled "Less Common Situations" where you need to check that they were a student ---that way you are not subject to the $5050 income limit.
