Bought hybrid car to use mostly for business. Can I deduct any part of the actual PURCHASE as a business expense? Not mileage or vehicle costs, the actual purchase itself

Yes, you can deduct part of the actual vehicle using depreciation if you use the actual vehicle expenses method.  As you walk through TurboTax and enter the vehicle in the vehicle section it will ask you the purchase price and mileage and a series of questions to calculate depreciation.

But this article is concerning the business USE of the vehicle, I am not asking about that I am asking about the initial PURCHASE itself as a straightforward business cost/expense...
