Good day,

I was wondering if you can help me with this question? I noticed every year I owe on my state tax. Can I add allowances on AZ state tax or do I need to just leave the number I have for federal income tax?

Is it possible to split the number of dependents between the two?

I would like to make sure I filled out my w 4 correctly.

AZ withholding is based on a graduated rate system and many folks can be underwithheld ... so review your AZ return ... divide the tax bill by the gross income to see which % you need to be withheld at ...
