Are losses in the value of my thrift savings plan deductible

Been retired for years and have been receiving retirement annunity monthly payments; but in 2018 lost a lot of money in this retirement account.  Can I claim the loss somewhere???

No.  Unfortunately, you can't claim a deduction for this loss in your TSP's value.

Gains and losses in your TSP are tax-deferred, and there's no provision of law that allows you to claim gains or losses in the value of your TSP on your current year tax return.
