Anyone know where “tax tools” is? I keep being directed to this and I don’t have the option in the menu.

I’ve tried finding “tax tools” to delete a form on the mobile iOS app and in my browser.

What form are you trying to delete?

I don't think Tax Tools is present in the Mobile App (I don't have the Mobile App), but try it first since its quick:

  • Click on the three lines in the upper left corner of your screen.
  • Then scroll all the way toward the end of the menu to see if Tax Tools is there (it may not be.)
  • If it's not there, you would need to use a browser instead.   See below.

Here's how to get to Tax Tools in Online TurboTax:

  • Log into Online TurboTax in a browser.
  • Open your return.
  • Once the return is fully open, then go the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS.
  • Then click on Tools.
  • Then you can choose to delete a form.

I can post images of the browser method, if needed.

@muknavage

Here's some additional info on deleting forms in Online TurboTax (via a browser) :

Two related questions:

1. I am running the online version of turbotax 2021. I do not find Tax Tools. Do I need to use the CD/download version to find Tax Tools?

2. Also, can I use the CD/download version to continue  taxes that I have partially completed with the online version? Some of what I've read seems to suggest that downloading my online-based .tax2021 might only be possible for returns that have already been completed.

Thank you for any assistance.

I found the answers to my questions:

1. To see Tax Tools, I needed to actually begin working on my return by clicking on one of the online TurboTax questions rather that just starting TurboTax. At that point, the Tax Tools appeared in the left side menu. So I did not have to use the CD/download version.

2.By clicking Tax Tools, and then Tax and then Save your tax return, I was able to download my partially completed .tax2021. So downloading a partial return with online TurboTax is definitely doable. And I expect I can use this to continue my return with the CD/download version.
