AMT foreign tax utilized amount in worksheet

it looks like you were in an AMT situation this year where you needed to pay AMT tax but received an AMT foreign tax credit to either reduce your AMT tax or reduce it to an amount to where you paid no AMT. 

 

Look in the list of forms in your return and locate Form 6252.  The AMT foreign tax utilized amount of $1022 should appear in Part 11 Line 8 on the 6252 form.

I complete TT but there is no 6252 form. 

roughly I calculate AMT, I am not subject to AMT tax.

I think foreign tax carryover form need AMT amount as mandatory. 

am I correct?

 

if I provide more information then can you check I am subject to AMT tax or not?

You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: 

 

If using Turbo Tax online:

 

1. Click on Tax Tools in the black left menu bar
2. Click on Tools>share my file with agent
3. press ok and you should get a token number

 

If using the software:

 

At the top menu in the black line at the top of the page go to Online. 

1. From the menu, select Send Tax File to Agent. 
2. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is. Click Send and then you will get a Token number. 
3. Reply to this thread with your Token number. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information
