Adding money to my HSA

I Chose to put money into my HSA to fund medical bills and keep track of them through the accounts card. Is the money I transferred considered "contributions"? I made sure I didn't go over the "allowed" contributions limits.

Should my transferred money be entered on my taxes, where asked "any contributions you personally made" (not through your employer)

Money put INTO an HSA account ARE contributions.  Any made outside of the payroll system at work and not reported on the W-2 box 12 code W may be claimed as an adjustment to income.

Yes, you would enter your HSA contributions in the section when asked: "any contributions you personally made". Answer yes and continue through the program.
