a qbi was generated for my 2024 tax return but i am retired. i found a post about those being due to a REIT but as far as I know I don't have any ownership in a REIT unless it is through a mutual fund I own,. HELP

You're eligible for the QBI deduction if you have a form 1099-DIV with an amount in box 5 - Section 199A dividends. These are dividends from REITs.
