Working remotely from AZ for a CA Company

Hi ,

I got a job in CA company and started working from Feb 2022 but currently I am staying in AZ (from past few years).

I could see in my pay-slip taxes were deducted by CA and I don't have any plans to move to CA near future.

Can you help me how the tax amount will work.

Do I need to pay AZ taxes again ..? if I need to pay can I get my CA taxes back ..?

I have very less knowledge on taxes any small info helps me lot.

Thank you very much in advance.

Your facts are not clear:

  • You indicate you are working for a CA company starting Feb 2022
  • You then indicate that you are currently residing in AZ
  • Where did you reside when you began working for the CA company?
  • I assume, but would like clarification, that all your work for the CA company is performed remote?

Hi Rick,

Thank you for replying.

I was in AZ while i get recruited and i supposed to move to CA but with some other discussions with managers I could get work from AZ with couple of days traveling to office in CA.

So now my concerns is my taxes from Feb to now were deducted by CA but I was staying in AZ.
