Working in NYC but company in Washington State--What taxes to pay

Hi,

My company (and its headquarter) is in Washington state. I recently moved back to my home in NYC since we're allowed to work from home for the time being. (My company's official statement is that WFH ends Jan 2021.) Will I have to pay NY State and city taxes?

Thanks!

If you  use TurboTax next year, you'll enter WA as your State of Residence, and you'll indicate that you had "Other State Income" from NY.

Yes, you will.  Income from work (including remote work) actually performed in NYC/NYS is subject to taxation by both city and state.

Thanks @TomD8! I'm guessing the taxes will be paid by declaring that I worked in NYC/NYS when I file for taxes next year>
