Work in TN but live in MS

so it says that i don't owe MS taxes but in the past i've had to pay MS taxes because i lived in MS and Worked TN. my employer didn't deduct MS or TN taxes. is this accurate? do i not have to pay MS taxes this year?

Unfortunately no. If you are a permanent resident of MS, you will need to report all income from all sources (including your TN wages) on your MS resident state income tax return.

Since TN has no state income taxes related to wages (and therefore no TN nonresident state income tax filing would be required), you will need to select "no" to " Did you make money in any other states?" under the Personal Information section in TurboTax (see screenshots). This way the TurboTax system knows to report and tax all your TN wages on your MS resident state income tax return.
