Work in NJ, moved from NJ to NY

I have a W2 that shows my wages from August 3 through Dec 31 2021.  All earned in NJ
I moved from NJ to NY in Sept.
TT is telling me to "Remove these wages for each state wage line that is a duplicate and it shows 2 lines, one for NJ then one for NY and the State Wage amounts are identical.
Which one should be removed?
Calling one a "duplicate" implies one is an "original" but that's not really the case.

Thanks for any guidance you can give.

Everything was earned in NJ.   You can select the NY line to be excluded as a duplicate on your NJ return.   Later you will have the opportunity to allocate the amount of wages earned while you were living in NJ and then the amount earned while living in NY.
