Withholding at Source preventing CA e-file

I sold my California rental condo on July 29, 2024.  California Withholding at the time of Settlement is correctly logged on my FTB account (except the date of Withholding at Source is not entered).

TurboTax states I cannot e-file because of Withholding at Source.  Is this accurate?  Is there a way for me to e-file given the Withholding at Source?

CA FTB states if TurboTax has a work-around it’s acceptable to CA FTB to e-file as the problem is with TurboTax..

Follow these steps:

  1. Open to  Federal deductions and credits section.
  2. Scroll down to Estimates and  other taxes paid.
  3. Select Other Income Taxes. Start / Edit
  4. Scroll down to Other Taxes paid in 2024
  5. Select withholding not already reported on a w2 or 1099
  6. Select CA from the state dropdown box
  7. enter the amount of withholding
