Will a copy of my federal tax return w/ no signature work as attachment for paper filling MN state return?

For paper filling my MN state return, do I need to attach a copy of my SIGNED federal return or a copy of my federal tax return w/ no signature will work?

The instruction for the Minnesota state tax return does not specify whether the enclosed Federal return must be signed or not.  Either option is probably fine.  In general, when faced with mailing a copy of the Federal return with a state return, I would write 'copy only' in the signature line of the Federal return.

However, even if you don't sign the copy of the Federal return, don't forget to sign the state return before you mail it.
