Why is Turbotax requiring me to complete form UE? I had no employment in 2019. So, obviously, no W-2.What's happening?

We are filing 2020 returns now, not 2019. Did you receive unemployment comp in 2020?

Or are you trying to file  a 2019 return?  You cannot do that on TT Online, which is just for 2020.

Or are you referring to some state tax form?

Sorry, I meant 2020.

I did receive money for executrix fees, as I’m executing my deceased brother’s estate. 
I did include that income on the TT filing , but no 1099 or other form is provided. 
The  system is insisting I complete form UE for unreimbursed employee expenses( like uniforms or union dues). I had no earned income in 2020, so that form makes no sense. 
Is  there a place where I could answer something differently to notify the TT system that form UE isn’t required?

no, I received no unemployment in 2020 or ever in my life.  
Thoughts?

The state UE form is connected with the Federal Form 2106. You can delete this form.

 

In TurboTax Online, you can delete the UE form following these instructions:

 

  1. Click on Tax Tools toward the bottom left corner.
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Click on Delete a form.
  4. Scroll down the list and delete Form 2106Schedule UE, and any related worksheets.
  5. Search for, and delete the ones that appear on your list.
  6. To delete a form, click Delete on the right and then Confirm the delete. Repeat as needed.
  7. When all these forms are deleted, click Continue my return. Click on Review on the left and see if this clears up the error. 

And at the top of the UE form is a Check Box to Remove this form from the return. Look for this as well to delete the form.
