Why doesn't my NY State return have a Earned Income Credit option under Credits and taxes?

I am claiming a NY State Credit for non-custodial parents.

The New York state return does include an Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) option for Earned Income Credit for non-custodial parents.

It will only come up if you have federal EITC. If you do not see it, go back to Deductions & Credits and Revisit Earned Income Credit (EIC).
