Why do I pay Indiana tax when I do not work in Indiana
I work in Illinois and maintain my residency in Indiana. All of my income comes from Illinois and I filed in Illinois. Why do I need to pay income tax in Indiana?

Your resident state taxes all your income, regardless of where it was earned, but gives you a credit for taxes paid to other states.
