When will the Wisconsin Form 1 be fixed for COVID early retirement distributions reported on Federal Form 8915-E?

I cannot finalize and efile my 2020 Wisconsin Form 1 on the Home/Business Edition of Turbotax.  There is an error message stopping on Line 22 "Penalties on IRAs, retirement plans, MSAs of the form indicating that Turbotax is still working on this line for distributions (1099-R) that qualify for disaster or covid relief.

TurboTax has worked hard with the IRS to be able to e-file form 8915-E.  Since this will require programming adjustments for both the IRS and TurboTax, it will be a few weeks before these changes are made.  If you wish to file this form, you have the following options:

  1. Mail in your return now and not wait until the form is available to e-file.
  2. E-file your return without the form, and then file an amended return with the form attached to it (amended returns now also can be e-filed for greater convenience).
  3. Wait until the form is available in TurboTax and e-file your entire return at once.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on how to do this.

How long exactly is a few weeks? Because in a few weeks it'll be past the deadline to file taxes.
