It appears all NJ forms are available:

Is there a specific Form that is giving you problems?

I keep getting messages that the 1065 forms for NJ are not ready, is this true or is there an error with my software?

On the top on NJ resident form I see in red letters " do not file",

What I should do?

You should wait.   There are a lot of federal and state forms that are not yet ready.   And the IRS will not even begin to accept federal e-files until January 24.   A state return cannot be accepted until the IRS accepts a federal return.

@molpa3

You do not file it.  The finalized forms for NJ will not be ready until 27 Jan or later....neither e-filed, nor paper-mail-filed tax returns can be submitted until after that date.

The Form says Do Not File on it, because TTX doesn't want you to mistakenly mail it in before that date, ANNNND there could be subtle software corrections by then, that change the numbers on your filing.....IF you are going to file by mail, you will have to wait until after the 27th...re-check your filing data after that date...then re-print/save new PDF copies that won't have the Do Not File on them.

Thank you very much. Will wait until 27

I am getting the same message "files not available at this time" and I just tried again on 2/1/22 and still not available.  I need to print mine and mail it in because it requires me to attach a death certificate.

Besides the forms already available, the forms not available will be released on 2/10/22 and 2/17/22 depending on the form you need. For a list of New Jersey state form availability with applicable dates, please see New Jersey Individual Form Availability. This covers both e-filed and mailed in forms.

I went to print the NJ State 1040 and the software indicated all NJ forms are still not finalized and I could not print my return? When will NJ send the updated forms to Turbo Tax?

Level 2

The state list I was referred to indicates the 1040 form for NJ is available, therefore why does Turbo Tax stop it from printing? The form can be previewed and seen on the screen, but I cannot print it. What am I doing wrong?

We are aware of an issue in printing the NJ returns and are working to correct that issue.  Since this is so early in the filing process, we have several issues that we are working to correct.  Please check back in a few days to see if you are able to file.

In the mean time, please clear your cashe and cookies and reboot your system.  Sometime that can clear the dust.

@molpa3 New Jersey is historically late with forms. You will not be able to print out and file until the state finalizes its forms and approves the TurboTax versions. The remaining forms are expected to be finalized on either February 10 or February 17.

You can get the latest updates at New Jersey Individual Form Availability.

@molpa3  NJ must approve TT's versions (programming) of the forms before they can be released. Some years this takes longer than others.

When you finish tax return and ready to print. It's says unable to print or file NJ because NJ firms is not final as yet.  This is been the case for days now.

Received e mail from NJ Div. of Taxation stating that all forms were available February 7 and ask Turbo Tax why considered unavailable.

Please understand that NJ must approve TT's versions (programming) of its forms before they can be released.  Also note that NJ is often slow in issuing tax refunds, and says to allow 4 weeks after efiling before even starting (NJ's word) to check the status.
