When I was completing my Ohio return it stated I owed around $300 in local school district taxes for my self employed income, when I e-filed I paid my federal and state taxes with my bank account but was not prompted to pay the local school taxes owed.
How does TurboTax handle this and will I receive a separate bill from the school district directly?
Usually the School District
return is e-filed with the state return,
but there are exceptions. Read the 'filing instructions" that TurboTax
prepares, They will tell you if the SD100 was e-filed or if you have to mail
it.
It will also tell you if you need to mail payment, with form SD40 (payment voucher)

@Hal_Al It did send the sd100 form with my Ohio taxes. It said Ohio rejected my return due to the school code not being correct. I updated box 20 on my federal return to the 4 digit code and went through the state wizard again.
I refilled the Ohio return but again it tells me I owe $330 but did not mention anything about sending payment.
@Hal_Al I have already resubmitted my Ohio taxes do you think they will be rejected again because I am missing my SD40?
This was the original message I received for the rejection: OHCOM-012 - Ohio and/or school district tax withheld is claimed on the return(s) but no income statement forms with Ohio and/or school district tax withheld are included with the return. Please correct and retransmit.
Do the Ohio filing instructions specifically say that the SD100 was e-filed?
If so. I would check your bank account to see if the $300 was debited.
If not, you should print and mail it with a check.
@Hal_Al I downloaded the return and I see the SD 100 was e-filed with my state return.
When I received the original rejection the TurboTax instructions said to go back to my federal return and change my line 20 from the school district name TEASY LOC to the 4-DIGIT code which I did. I then saved that and went back to my Ohio return and went through each screen and pushed next. Then re-transmitted my Ohio return only.
Do you think that should solve the issue?
@Hal_Al Thank you for all your assistance. Have a wonderful evening
